Piano Worksheet for Saint Patricks Day

by Kristin

piano_worksheet_for_st_patricks_day_Leprechaun's_Race

What do you think about Saint Patrick’s Day? I think it’s kind of a silly holiday. But silly is good for kids–they love the fun themes and it is a great opportunity to get in extra practice.

And kids always need practice with note names, so here’s a fun piano worksheet with a Saint Patrick’s Day theme. You can use it just as a plain old worksheet, or you can turn it into a fun game and have your students race!

To make it a race for a single student, set a timer and see how quickly they can name all the notes. Then tell them that if they can beat their time at next week’s lesson, they’ll get a treat! Encourage them to go home and practice with flashcards so that they’ll be faster.

In a group setting, you can either have the kids race against each other and give the winner a treat, or you can record everyone’s times and then give a treat to everyone who beats their time at the next lesson. Either way, lots of Saint Patrick’s Day fun!
