How to Teach Piano Scales to Kids

by Kristin

Far too often, kids think learning scales is an end in itself- and to them it’s a boring end! I teach kids to improvise with the scales and my students are actually excited about learning their scales!

Everyone wants to know my system for teaching scales to kids, so I’ve decided to sell my ebook series: Piano Magic. With this series, even my four year old students have become proficient at playing scales, which makes them better improvisers.

Piano Scales Diagram for Kids

The scale diagrams make it easy for kids to know where to place their fingers and the brightly colored illustrations keep children engaged. As a free bonus, I’ve also included the progress charts that we pin up in my studio.

You can get the first Piano Magic ebook for only $5. Click here to learn more.

After kids have mastered these easy scales, they can have a blast creating their own music. You can learn some great piano improv activities for kids in my ebook.
